Mrs. Veronica Jauregui-Fuentes was born in Los Angeles, California. Her Father, Jesus Jauregui, began working as a machinist at Standard, Tool and Die Company located in Lincoln Heights and began attending Lincoln High School for English as a second language in 1955. He then brought his wife Teresa and their first daughter Angie from Mexico in 1956. They began residing in Lincoln Heights and attending Sacred Heart Church in 1957. Veronica is the youngest of three siblings: two sisters and one brother. Both her sister and brother attended Griffin Avenue Elementary School then Our Lady Help of Christians Elementary School. In 1962, Angie her sister, made her First Communion at Sacred Heart Church. Her sister Angie attended Sacred Heart High School. Her brother Jesse attended Cathedral High School. Veronica attended the Lincoln Heights Library preschool program, Griffin Avenue Elementary School, and Sacred Heart Elementary School. During her time at Sacred Heart Elementary School, she made her First Communion and was confirmed at Sacred Heart Church. Veronica also attended Plaza de la Raza Cultural Arts Center housed in Lincoln Park, Ramona Convent Secondary School and UC Berkeley including a study abroad program in Spain and North Africa. Veronica has worked for several organizations including the University of Southern California. She is married to Alejandro Fuentes. Veronica and Alejandro have a daughter Alejandra Teresa. Father Tesfaldet baptized her. Alejandra Teresa attended Little Flower Educational Day Care Center in Lincoln Heights. Alejandra Teresa is a Girl Scout for the troop housed at Sacred Heart Elementary School. Veronica and her family live in Lincoln Heights. Veronica states, in 2018, she was “blessed” to become a member of the Sacred Heart Church team.
